You never fail to have the best advice and know exactly what to say in any situation, even on the worst of days. You always find the bright side. THIS IS NINE..

Happy February 1st! ... hang on,  FEBRUARY? Didn’t we just ring in the new year yesterday?! 

February is an exciting month around our house.. its the month my strong willed  little Sophia came earth side and made me a mom. It also means we get to plan a party to celebrate her, unicorn cake anyone?..

My next blog will be all things SOPHIA- celebrating her ninth trip around the sun. Stay tuned..

Meet Natalie and her 38 week bump.

I met Nat and her husband about three and a half years ago when their daughter Keeley turned one. Since then ive had the honour of photographing their beautiful family a handful of times in the passing years (watching families grow is one of the best perks of my job!!). Thank you Natalie for being so easy going and letting me run with my vision for this session. Im not sure how many pregnant ladies like hiking through the forest at 38 weeks pregnant, but this girl was amazing! Any day now, they will become a family of four and I already cannot wait for the newborn session.

Now that I finally have my new site up and running, I figured why not share the love of all my older sessions and weddings that have yet to be shared. Better late than never, right?! My goal is to blog once a month

I met Kaylee at a family friends BBQ about 15 years ago. She was a little ray of sunshine, always smiling and a pleasure to be around. Funny enough, I actually babysat her a few times, even though shes only a few years younger than me. So imagine my excitement when over a decade later, Kaylee reaches out to ask me if I would be interested in photographing her wedding.... umm YES!!!

In 2013 while Kaylee was attending UBC on a hockey scholarship, she was partnered up on a school project with her good friend Spencer, who also happened to be Alex's little brother. Kaylee was adamant that when Alex was back in Vancouver, they should all grab a drink...

Three years later, on Kits Beach in Vancouver, Alex got down on one knee and asked Kaylee to spend the rest of her life with him.

With Alex having played football his whole life, and Kaylee, hockey, you can only imagine how much FUN their wedding party was. Honestly, it was the funnest wedding party ive ever worked with....half the day I was in stitches from laughter. 

Thank you Kaylee & Alex for having me be apart of such an incredibly fun day!

YOU GUYS!!!! I am so excited to have you here, checking out my NEW website! I still have A LOT to images to upload into galleries but like most things, it takes time... but I promise i’ll get around to it in the new year (yikes thats in 3 days!) In the mean time I am so incredibly excited to share with you this gorgeous wedding.

I met Dallas and Stephanie at a wedding I photographed in Cuba back in 2013. We kept in touch through the passing years and managed to work with one another a handful of times as well, capuring some fun family shots and steamy bourdoir photos. Steph has always been a pleasure to work with, she has inpecible taste, great style and is a total knock out of a woman. It was an absolute honour when Steph contacted me about photographing their wedding ....  I of coarse said YES!

Stephanie and Dallas's boho inspired wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in a valley alongside the Red Deer River, the two married at the rustic Canyon Ski Lodge in Red Deer, Alberta. Gothic style chandeliers, an array of candles and fresh white rose petals scattered down the isl made for an intimate & cozy ceremony. To create a natural earthly feel, Stephanie choose a rich pallet of nudes and purples for her bridesmaids and accented them with stunning florals filled with lush woodsy greenery.

Dallas proposed to Stephanie on Valentines Day during a snowboarding trip on Kicking House Mountain. So it was only fitting for the two to say their I-do’s on a ski hill ….the snow was an unexpected bonus! No details were spared during the planning of this snowy summer wedding. From the details and decor, the post ceremony champagne toasts, the "shot-ski" custom snowboard to the impromptu visit to Browns Social House, their day was beyond perfection.

Thank-you Dallas and Steph for not only having me be apart of such a magical day but for allowing me  to also capture many wonderful memories along the way.
